Just curious. I am sure there are millions of Elvis fans out there in the world even though the King has left the building, but what is your favourite Elvis Aaron Presley's song??
I guess mine would have to be "A Little Less Conversation". Why not join in and tell me some of yours?
ps: got this idea from watching the DVD of the movie "Elvis has left the building" and it was hilarious. John Corbett and Kim Basinger starred. There are many other actors and actresses as well, you just have to look out for them. Interesting twist!
Confusing...........no need any more explanation, just mean tears of the world in malay

perlu pertolongan
Susahnya jatuh sakit bila ada anak-anak kecil. Tambahan pulak, seorang daripada tiga anak tu pulak cacat pemikiran. Suami harus bekerja jadi tiada sesiapa yang sanggup membantu.

Oh dear
Oh dear..I hope we will all get better soon. Looks like Dánial Ísak(DÍ) is not getting rid of his flu as yet. Infact, I've contracted it from him! I think Hadi Johan(HJ) and Jana Maria(JM) is out of it now. My MIL look like she's getting it too and last to get is always my hubby. He is still free from it now. Hope he will not be sick at all because he refuse to see the doctor or take medication if he is sick. Wonder why?
Today is another battling day for me. DÌ has this obsession with getting naked just about anywhere in the house. That really fine with me since I do not have eight arms to handle him and the other 2 at the same time. But really infuriates me is when he pisses in the kitchen or on the mattress.
Other place, I can clean it up but mattress is not easy as there is no way I can hang dry my mattress outside from our loft bedroom which is on the third floor. Besides, the weather does not allow it. Rarely actually. I remember I had to throw two matresses in March this year because it was contaminated by his faecal matter. I tried to salvage it but to no avail. In the end, had to have it removed from the house.
Err.....I like to sidetrack. That's how my mind work. Just be patient. Sometimes I come back to my original point or just simply forget about it and move on to something altogether different if you notice?
None of my kids seem hungry today. For that matter, neither am I. I am having diarrhoea since last night as well. Dare not fart........hehehe. I have spent half my morning making chicken stew. Actually wanted to make chicken pies (you know, the tiny ones that you make lots of it?) but hubby have no time to shop as he has to attend a funeral of his best friend's mom so I have to make do with what I have at home. So we are going to have it in 5mins time with potatoes instead! Tuck in time! Not that I'm hungry but it is good to sit down with family at dinner time to teach them the importance of it.

weather is getting cold
Looks like the summer has ended. It has been raining almost daily now. The temperature has also drop now. So that means, no more BBQing or sandals or skirts and dresses or strolling with flimsy baby pram. Well, I cannot even go out to pay bills at the moment. That's because Jana Maria is still at home and she is not in a good mood when she is sick. If I drive, maybe I could have brought them along in the car but I don't drive at all. How on earth do I bring myself to drive when I cannot even manouevre my baby pram??? hehehe..
I wish the rain would stop for a while so I can go out for a while. My children are getting bored with painting and swinging indoors.
Oh dear, now I got to go let Hadi Johan out. Jana Maria has locked him in the bedroom as she "tími ikki spæla with Hadi Johan meir, eg orka ikki Hadi Johan inn her" (don't want to play with HJ anymore, cannot stand to have him in here).

sick
My poor children. Hadi Johan was feverish yesterday. Perhaps it was due to the fact that I brought him out despite the windry and rainy weather on monday. His fever has gone down today so he's not as clingy to me as he was yesterday.
I had booked two tickets to watch "Herbie:Reloaded" at 6pm yesterday to watch with Jana Maria but as soon she came home from daycare, we all could sense that nobody is going anywhere tonight. That was right alright! Jana Maria said she don't feel up to it to eat popcorn and drink coca-cola. A minute later, she started throwing up all over the sofa and living room, followed by the kitchen floor and the kitchen bench while I was busy cooking for dinner. You can imagine the vomit was plastered all over her hair and stuck all over her cute little face. Poor girl. Her temperature rose and that was it. Vomiting throughout the whole night. Nothing can stay in her, not even a sip of water. She is so lethargic today and still having high fever. so now she is lying down watching her favourite "Lion King" movie. Mind you she can watch them over and over again and still shout at Simba to run each time the stampede scene is on. She cries when Mufasa died. So I have some time to wash up. I just put Hadi Johan to sleep so I've got about 20mins now. Karl will be coming over at 1pm. Danial is also coughing and sniffy but his stuðul(careworker) must care for him till 5pm so I won't be too stress out.

just stop the clock!
My husband always have to race against time. Each morning, he has to listen to me nagging about trying to be on time. I want my kids in daycare by 9am because otherwise, we have to call and explain why they are late and ofcourse we have to prepare their lunches and diapers and warm clothes. Feeding Danial his medicine alone is a struggle every morning and night. Anyway, this morning, my husband start to talk loud under his breath about running out of time again. He said something about the clock has run past the time so my daughter who happen to hear daddy panicking replied innocently, "why daddy, you just have to stop the clock so time won't run out!". At that point, we both had to laugh. It was hysterical to hear this. She was actually trying to find ways for her daddy to not run out of time.........lol.
first day "barnaansing" for a friend
One of my friend started working as a cleaner in a school but as her son is still on a waiting list for daycare, she asked if I can help a friend in need. "Ofcourse!" I heard myself saying. I just hope that her son will get a place in the daycare soon. As anyone can see, I myself is on social help for my older son's condition, and being a mother with 8month old baby that needs to also look after a blind and sickly mother-in law at home. As for Jana Maria, she is 3 now and able to comprehend some of the things so she always try to help as much as she could. My husband work from 1pm to almost 3am every single day with occasional wednesday night off to watch english football. It is not easy but I know how hard it feel when there is nobody who can offer help when you need it. So that is why I offer to help my friend. She really need this job for reasons which I cannot explain here. I thought why not help her, who knows, someday I might need her help. So that was how I start looking after this 2 year old boy today and it was such a breeze. Piece of cake! Maybe it was his first day with me so he just watch me first and not reveal a lot about himself. Let's see how tomorrow goes.
I bring him out today with Hadi Johan using the Brio Duette stroller and they sure enjoyed seating next to each other. Perhaps I can bring them out again someday when the weather permit it.

survivor anyone??
Marjun is the same age as my mother. Except ofcourse few months younger. She has pancreatic cancer now and we have no idea if she will survive. I went to visit her on saturday and was quite pleased actually. She was not as bad as I saw her 3 weeks ago. However, she is turning cachexic ( sorry if spelling wrong) and swelled up in the mid region. She has pain but on analgesic (I would rather use the word painkillers actually, this one sounded so anal) round the clock. My questions is........have any of you met a survivor from cancer of the pancreas?? I really wish she'll get better soon as I like her a lot.. She's a wonderful and kind and caring person. It is not fair this happen to her, especially after her husband was taken away from her last year july for liver cancer.

Danial is home
Here's one of those rare moment when Hanus is shaven and ready for a picture. He always ask me not to snap his picture because he is either not clean or not shave yet! As for Danial, it is not easy getting any snap of him from frontal view. I've got lots of picture but all his backside or sideviews or his head down!
Jana Maria was playing outside the whole day today with her friends. They are both blond. One is her cousin Janita (sitting in Danial's special made stroller) and the other is Durita (daughter to our neighbour). They are all the same age just one month apart from each other, with Jana Maria being the youngest of them and tallest too for that matter!ps: sorry for the quality of pictures posted all this time. I have not got a good quality digital camera so this will have to do for now.
Danial coming home.
It has been a great weekend without Danial at home but yes I missed him a lot. It is different without him. Ofcourse it is easier but the guilt feeling is still there. I don't know how some mothers can do it. It has been over a year he goes to Una's house once a month but I still feel that it was bad of me to agree to it. I love it but I feel bad. Maybe I feel guilty because I enjoy it and I don't want to feel that I enjoy not having him around???
In anyway, I am really looking forward to him coming home. How I wish he can talk and will be able to tell me what he has experience over the weekend. I think it is usual for any child to rush home to tell his or her mommy all the fun and excitement they enjoyed over their trip anywhere. I remember I did that with my mom. I usually run out of breath expalining everything in detail and at the end of it all..........my mom would say, "okay, now you can start all over again but slowly because I didn't catch anything you just said as it was like an express train!" I wish Danial is able to do that!!

missing Danial
I wonder how Danial is doing tonight. He is calmer now than before. So it was kind of sad for me to let Danial sleep over at Una's house this time. Maybe because I know Danial like it better here. He get very frightened of anyone entering our house after his "umlætting" weekend. He fears that, that someone only come to take him away from us. He fears that he will not be sleeping with his "bear". He called his favourite duvet cover "bear" because it has a bear motif and he likes to fiddle with the ruffles at the top of the duvet cover and the sewn-on bear motif. It was re-sewn back on as Danial bites his "bear" every night and it almost came off at one point! No matter how I wash them now, can never get it as white as before. This "bear" comfort Danial so much. "Bear" has travel to and fro to Denmark more than 10times now.
update
Sorry for being away too long. I have no idea why but I think I may have temporary loss of interest over the internet. Hopefully it will pass soon. It's like my mind is blocked or I just cannot catch my thoughts and put it into words.
I have been out walking with different group of friends over this week. Imagine that. I am from Singapore, living in the Faroe Islands and going out with friends from Indonesia, Sri Lanka, Syria, Liberia, Nigeria, and Slovakia. There's also From Thailand, Phillipines and India but I do not walk with them, just a hi there-how are you type of friends. You know, the type where your husband has to ditch you while shopping because you are stuck in a conversation.
Today, I am going to watch "The Island" at 1300hrs and Hadi Johan will be joining me as he still has no place in the daycare (we have not send in the application yet you see). Hope he will not mind it. Danial has gone off to the umlætting family lady called Una for friday and saturday nights sleepover. He'll be delivered back to us on sunday 2pm. So I will have some time to catch up on my reading, knitting or cross-stitching if I can finish doing my laundry and the cleaning. There's also Jana Maria and Hadi Johan to think of. I must give my time to them too. don't want them to grow up feeling neglected.
I planned to go swimming with Jana Maria tonight but now I have to shelf it again as there is now a dressing and a small drainage at my axilla. Have to take a course of antibiotic...
Hate taking medicine.....yucks and too leceh!!
I went to the doctor yesterday as I have an abscess and it was giving me so much pain. The doctor explain that I am one of those whom they call "abscess maker". My sebaceous glands are hyperactive thus I am in this annoying condition almost twice every month.
Hate it! Does anybody know the permanent cure for this??
Now going to cook some meatballs for lunch. Have to make meatballs first. Personally, I do not like it but it is food and my daughter loves them. So why not? She'll eat them tonight when she come back from the daycare at 5pm.

cleaning day
I had been so busy today. By the time I had put my kids to sleep then I realised that my brother in laws and his mates have finished with the new roof! Birgit came to visit me with her 3year old son Pól (pronounced podl but I still cannot master this so I just call them Paul). 5mins after she arrived, Conny came to visit with her youngest daughter Rosa(my goddaughter, I carried her in the church). Guess what? In the midst of all this, Janita (Jana Maria's 3 year old cousin who lives downstairs) had smeared her excrement onto Jana Maria's hair, dress and arms! She even smeared in all over the front porch!! Danial had been going full monty more than 20 times a day and peeing all over the floor. I had spent my time only washing up today. Washing floors and butts and heads and what not. Then when I invite Birgit to come to the living room, there lies an underpant with excrement too. Now Jana Maria had pissed on the sofa, defecate on the floor and tried to cover it with the loudspeaker covering!! Anyone want to trade a day with me???
wet saturday
Not a nice weather today. Maybe because I have a slight cold. I wish someone would invent a brush that I dare to put down my throat to scratch the itchiness away! But itch is not to be scratch or it will be more itchy. I remember one of my nursing tutor who described an itch like this. To itch is human but to scratch is divine! How true.
My brother in-law is up on his roof today on such a wet weather. He has enlisted many helpers though. They are planning on changing out the old roofing to a completely new one by tonight! I guess there is going to be a big "bachelor" party if they succeed!
I should be going to visit Marjun really. Marjun is my mother in-law's cousin who is married to my father in-law's youngest brother Lorentz. He died last year in July of liver cancer. Marjun has been diagnosed with cancer of the pancreas with metastasis to the liver now. They have only one son and he is still single. He has a 3 yr old daughter who is with her mother and mother's new boyfriend. So Marjun might not live long enough to see her son getting married or becoming a grandmother again.
I am waiting for Hallgerð to come though. Dánial bought something as a thank you and giveaway present for her you see. She will be flying off to Denmark on monday to take up occupational therapy. Ofcourse it is not called Occupational therapy over here. The Danish and Faroese call it "ergoterapeut". We all wish her all the best.

Rubber dub dub, everybody in the tub!
The kids simply love being in this tub throughout our holiday in Lalandia.
This is the spa bath tub that we had in the holiday home that we rented in Lalandia. Danial make full use of it during our stay there. He woke up every morning at 4:30am and jump right in even before the water is full. He pulled me out of bed to indicate to me that he want me to fill water in the tub! It was not easy getting him out of there. He had fun twice a day each day we were in Lalandia!
Hadi Johan join in the fun too!
Funny, you know he was enjoying himself though he did not make any sound at all. Except from the splashing and kicking ofcourse!

Jana Maria told me that she is going to buy one of these when she get back home. Hanus' eyes nearly popped out when he heard that! hahaha

another wednesday
Joan has started working since monday. She is the new "stuðul" replacing Hallgerð who sadly has to go to Denamrk to further her study. We are so happy to get Joan as a replacement because she really like her job and is good at it. Danial loves being out so from now on, it is not going to be a problem for him except during the weekend ofcourse. That's when the stuðul is free and Danial is at home with me and my two other children. Hanus will be at home but he usually sleep in and left me to handle the kids and house.
Jana Maria has started daycare since monday too. She goes to another class now. Her barnagarð is call Eikilind uttara stova. There were only 3 other children on monday and yesterday. You see, it is still summer holiday here and not many people have gone back to work. It is so good to be able to have some time to myself now when the big children are out. I am left with Hadi Johan now. He has 6 teeth now. They just grow like mushrooms after the rain. He started crawling 3 days ago and loves going places since then. So It is not so "free" as it used to be but it is not that bad. Wait till he start climbing and reaching out for things.
The only problem I am facing now is waking up. I have to adjust my waking up time again now. I used to wake up early but I feel so tired lately that I slept through my alarm clock. I actually put 2 alarms just in case if I miss it. Everyday both goes off but I found out only an hour late. How on earth did I not hear it? And yet I can hear when my youngest baby son cries for hunger or diaper change anytime at night or day?? How do one explain that? I have to make sure Danial take his medications before 9am, clothes all of them and feed them and get them ready before 9am. Jana Maria must be in her daycare centre by 9am, but Hanus only wake up at 9:15or 9:30 am after my constant nagging and shouting and pleading for help. I got to prepare lunch boxes for Danial and Jana Maria, prepare breakfast and feed Danial and Hadi Johan. No wonder Jana Maria gets jealous. She has to eat herself, learn not to mess up, help me fetch things for the boys when they threw it accidentally. She is a big sister to both her older brother and younger brother.

Not ready?
Well, this are few of the photos that we took and my husband has finally scan them. There is actually another batch and my husband said it will come next week. I think I will write the experience one of these days but not today or tonight. Got to get cross-stitching now, and knitting too!
ps: I am so glad that I have finally gotten hold of my most favourite book! The Eight and The Magic Circle, both by the same author, Katherine Neville. I got the local bookstore here to buy for me but the only available copy was second-hand one. I paid 200kroner in total for both these second-hand books but I am very pleased with my purchase.

my kids
Jana Maria kept eating sweets and chocolates while we waited 30mins in the basement carpark at the airport for daddy to come back from his "very short errands"!
This was taken in a shopping centre called Fisketorvet. Just an ice-cream stop before shopping for birthday present for Jana Maria birthday the next day!
Danial was getting sleepy and bored too waiting for daddy.
The only one who was cheerful and always bubbly throughout the messy, hot and tiring journey was Hadi Johan. He kept blowing bubbles and gargling his saliva if bored to keep himself and us amused. Wonderful boy!
photos
This is taken at the Amalienborg Castle in Copenhagen. We tried to take a picture with the royal guards on duty but they are "on duty" you see so they keep moving so are not able to capture the moment. They do stop a few minutes each but by the time we gather the kids, the guards are on the move again! So we end up with this!!
Hanus took this picture while the kids were sleeping in the car. We park for total of 5mins, run around the whole park to see the beauty and splendour of it all, snap few photos and then run back into the car! This is actually close to yet another of the many castles they have in Denmark. The tall building in the background is a beautiful church.
We celebrate Jana Maria's 3rd birthday by bringing her to the zoo. She got her face painted as a butterfly. Pity her no birthday cake. Till today she is still asking me to hold her birthday celebration as she want presents and cakes. She only got presents from me and Hanus!

soaked
It was raining almost the whole day today in the Faroe Islands. That did not stop me and my children from taking a walk to the town anyway. I dressed Jana Maria and Danial in their snowsuit (kavadraktir) and rubber boots (gummistivlar) and off we go walking. But ofcourse Danial must sit in his stroller. It was an odd sight actually as Jana Maria is way too small compared with Danial and she is the one walking next to Danial who was almost sleeping in his "wheelchair"! Hadi Johan fell asleep at 1300hrs thus it was easier for me to slip away from the house. It was a nice walk despite the occasional showers above our head and the wind blowing in our face.
We went down to the harbour and watch the boats and ship as we drank our packet drinks and ate our "beef dog". No idea what that is but it sure taste good when served with cucumber relish and barbeque dressing. Jana Maria wanted a ride home in a bus so we took bus number 2 at 1545hrs. Guess the bus driver recognize Danial and knows where we live as he did not stop at the designated stop but before the bus stop in front of the street to our house! That was nice. I thought that was the end of it. I was sure my children had enough and will take a short nap once we reach home. Nope, that wasn't enough for Danial. He pulled my hands again at 6pm to play in the rain and muddy water outside on the front steps. I end up bringing Jana Maria and Hadi Johan too. Janita jump into her rainsuits and boots too to join in the fun as soon as she saw we were "dancing" around the garden under the rain! We were soaked through to our skin.
I am glad to see the children having so much fun and happy I was able to provide them with this chance! I thought I would not be able to handle it this two weeks as there is no care worker for taking care of Danial and daycare for them is closed for the holidays. My husband work extra long hours in the summer so I have been so occupied with children at home leaving no time for anything else. No time to even pee sometimes.
The last time I didn't have any time to go to the toilet was when I was working in the CCU. I remeber going to work at 6.45am and standing from 7am till 3pm with no break whatsoever. Someone buy something for me to eat occasionally and come into my cubicle to slip in my pocket so I can take a bite. But even then, I have no time to take a bite or a sip of water while working. Do my superior appreciate my sacrifice for the patient's sake??No.
Anyway, what I want to say really is that even though it was raining and the weather was bleak and dull, it didn't damper my mood today. Somehow, my mood elevated and I was able to find time and energy to cook up meal for everyone with little we have in the fridge. Overall, it has been a great day for me.
